Gilead Sciences and Unite for HER Launch Program to Support Underserved Metastatic Breast Cancer Patients

Gilead Sciences, Inc. has partnered with Unite for HER to launch the Metastatic Breast Cancer Sustainer Program, a significant initiative designed to offer free integrative care to Black, Hispanic, and underserved metastatic breast cancer patients nationwide. This program provides essential services such as acupuncture, professional counseling, personalized nutrition support, and fitness memberships, all without cost to the patients.

Sue Weldon, Founder and CEO of Unite for HER, highlighted the program's critical role as a lifeline for participants, especially those from marginalized communities. By addressing both medical and holistic needs, the initiative not only aids in treatment adherence but also markedly improves patients' quality of life.

Since its inception in October 2023, the program has already made a profound impact, supporting over 2,823 patients.
