New Scout Troop Launches in Willingboro Through ATAP Foundation Partnership to Empower Youth

The All Things Are Possible Foundation has established Scout Troop 611 through a collaborative partnership with Scouting America, creating a values-based program for Willingboro youth beginning this fall. The troop will serve boys and girls aged 5-10, providing a secure environment for experiential learning, leadership cultivation, and outdoor activities.

Dr. Tiffani Worthy, Executive Director of the ATAP Foundation, emphasized that the troop represents more than an after-school program, describing it as a pathway to purpose that aligns with the foundation's mission of equipping youth with tools for leadership, service, and success. This initiative responds to the pressing need for character development programs that build confidence and essential life competencies in young people.

Patrick Linfors, Scout Executive/CEO of the Garden State Council, highlighted the organizations' shared dedication to youth health and well-being. He noted that the partnership will promote character development, citizenship, physical fitness, and leadership abilities, ultimately cultivating caring, happy, and successful adults that communities require.

The program originated from ATAP's after-school initiatives and Summer Empowerment Experience, where students participated in live Scouting demonstrations that generated overwhelmingly positive responses. Children engaged in activities emphasizing teamwork, problem-solving, and outdoor skills, discovering that Scouting extends beyond badge acquisition.

Through this collaboration, Troop 611 will offer youth opportunities to develop character and confidence, acquire essential life and leadership skills, participate in hands-on community service, enjoy outdoor adventures and creative learning, and foster a strong sense of responsibility and belonging. Enrollment is currently available for children residing in Willingboro and neighboring communities, with parents and guardians encouraged to learn more and register online at https://www.scouting.org/join.
