The Lighthouse Foundation has unveiled the SOUL-ED School Tour, an innovative program designed to integrate mindfulness, meditation, and higher self-awareness into the educational system of the Philippines. This initiative responds to the increasing mental health issues and lack of direction among the youth, offering a comprehensive approach that includes interactive discussions, meditation sessions, and teachings on energy, emotions, and consciousness.
Founded by Leshara Maniego, The Lighthouse Foundation's SOUL-ED Tour seeks to unlock students' potential, helping them overcome anxiety, stress, and self-doubt. The curriculum, based on neuroscience, emotional intelligence, and spiritual growth, encourages a creator mindset, emotional management, and the pursuit of meaningful objectives.
Participating schools will receive the "Pioneer School for Higher Learning Education" award, acknowledging their role in developing a conscious and prepared future generation. The program, already implemented in select schools across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, is expanding, with calls for more public and private institutions to join.
Maniego's vision for the SOUL-ED School Tour reflects a broader ambition to evolve the education system, emphasizing not only academic success but also spiritual and emotional well-being. This initiative marks a pivotal move towards a more holistic educational framework in the Philippines, mirroring worldwide shifts towards mindful learning practices.
